1. Who we are
Rich Palette™ is a color and creative-workflow application of Gilded Echoe Studio™. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Rich Palette website, progressive web app, mobile application, account features, cloud library, Cloud AI features, support form, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information reasonably needed to operate Rich Palette. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
- Account information: email address, display name, account identifiers, email-verification status, and authentication/security information.
- Creative library data: saved palette names, colors, folders, favorites, notes, tags, and related organization data that you choose to save to your account.
- Cloud AI requests: the creative brief, settings, palette context, and related instructions you choose to submit to the Cloud AI Color Director, plus the generated response.
- Subscription information: entitlement status, plan type, trial or subscription dates, product identifiers, and purchase-verification information received from an app-store billing provider. Rich Palette does not need your full payment-card number.
- Support/contact information: your name, email address, topic, and message when you use the contact form.
- Technical information: information normally generated when using an online service, such as browser/device information, IP address, security logs, and basic request information collected by hosting and infrastructure providers.
3. Uploaded images and Image Palette Lab
The Image Palette Lab is designed to analyze images in your browser/device. Uploaded images used only for local palette extraction are not intentionally uploaded to Rich Palette's cloud library or Cloud AI merely because you extract colors from them. If a future feature clearly offers cloud upload or sharing, Rich Palette will identify that behavior before you choose to use it.
4. How we use information
We use information to provide and maintain your account; authenticate users; save and synchronize your palette library and folders; generate Cloud AI color directions; provide subscription entitlements; respond to support requests; prevent abuse and fraud; troubleshoot and secure the Service; comply with applicable law; and improve the reliability and usability of Rich Palette.
5. Cloud AI
When you intentionally use a Cloud AI feature, the text and palette context needed to fulfill your request are sent through Rich Palette's secure server-side integration to an AI service provider. Rich Palette does not place its private AI credentials in the browser. Avoid entering passwords, financial information, confidential client secrets, or other unnecessary sensitive personal information in AI prompts.
6. Service providers
Rich Palette uses specialized providers to operate the Service. Depending on the feature, these may include Supabase for authentication, database storage (including private support/contact messages) and server functions; OpenAI for optional Cloud AI processing; Resend for account, contact-confirmation, and support-notification email delivery; Cloudflare for website hosting/delivery and security; and Stripe for secure website subscription checkout, recurring billing, customer subscription management and applicable tax calculation; and Stripe for website subscriptions, billing, checkout, customer subscription management and tax calculation where enabled; and Google Play for Android distribution, subscriptions, billing and purchase verification. These providers process information for their respective service functions under their own terms and privacy practices.
7. Cookies and local storage
Rich Palette may use browser storage, including local storage and similar technologies, to keep you signed in, preserve local app preferences, support offline/PWA behavior, remember temporary creative state, and improve usability. Authentication session information may also be stored locally by the authentication service so you do not have to sign in on every visit.
8. How long information is kept
Account and cloud-library information is generally retained while your account remains active or as reasonably needed to provide the Service. Support messages may be retained as needed to respond to and document the request. Some security, transaction, billing, backup, or legal records may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary or required by law.
9. Your choices and rights
You may update certain account information, delete saved palettes and folders, sign out, and request account deletion. Depending on where you live, applicable law may also give you rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about how personal data is handled. Use the Rich Palette contact form and choose Privacy / Legal to make a privacy request.
10. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Service, including authenticated access and database access controls for private account data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you are responsible for using a strong, unique password and protecting access to your email and devices.
11. Children
Rich Palette is a professional creative tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so the matter can be reviewed.
12. International use
Rich Palette and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, applicable legal safeguards may govern those transfers.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Rich Palette changes. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective or revision date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service when appropriate.
